What will this course cover?

Session 1: Great Expectations
​
“Anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists -
and that He rewards those who earnestly seek him.” - Hebrews 11:6
​
Our ability to discern God’s voice is affected by our expectation of why and how God would speak to us. When we come to God as our Heavenly Father who wants to engage with His children, then we can be expectant that He will answer us, and we can learn to discern His voice when He does.

Session 2: how THE Holy Spirit hints & hollers
​
‘When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth --
the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” - John 16:13-15
​
When we talk about hearing God’s voice, it suggests that we will receive something ‘audible’ or ‘visual’ - something we can see or hear with our physical ears and eyes. However, God gives each believer his Holy Spirit to dwell within us and communicate directly to our own spirit.

Session 3: SEEING Dreams & Visions
​
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy." - Acts 2:17-21
​
God is creative in how He communicates, even sending his Son Jesus in person to convey his love and plans for us. We can learn to discern what God is saying to us through the various ways He speaks, including dreams and visions.
